Our client is seeking a dynamic and innovative Head of Marketing and Digital (HOMD) to lead its marketing and digital strategies. Based at an iconic venue, this role is focused on expanding the organisation's audience, executing impactful campaigns to boost brand visibility, promoting major events and commercial products, and enhancing digital engagement across various platforms for domestic and international markets. The HOMD will manage a team of marketing, digital, content, and video executives, fostering their development and maximizing opportunities within marketing and digital.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Campaign Development: Create and implement marketing and digital plans within the overall marketing and communications (Marcomms) strategy to enhance brand awareness and achieve commercial KPIs, including targets for ticketing, premium seating, events, and other commercial products. Manage campaign delivery across paid and owned channels, ensuring alignment with brand values and legal standards.
- Collaborative Cross-Functional Initiatives: Work closely with the Marcomms team, including creative and communications functions, to ensure a unified approach across all consumer touchpoints, delivering consistent, cohesive marketing and digital campaigns.
- Audience Growth: Focus on audience expansion, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to achieve targeted acquisition of new marketable data.
- Digital Product Enhancement: Oversee and drive fan engagement for digital products, including a subscription-based platform, an updated mobile app, and optimised websites focused on user experience and conversion.
- Content Strategy and Execution: Establish and implement a comprehensive content strategy to support organisational goals and deliver content effectively across multiple social media channels to increase engagement.
- Digital Innovation: Lead digital innovation, Utilising tools such as AI to optimise brand visibility, fan engagement, and customer experience.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop reporting and evaluation processes in collaboration with other Marcomms functions and third-party agencies to track and analyse performance, guiding campaign investments.
- Partnership Activation: Collaborate with the commercial team to develop a partnership activation strategy that enhances brand growth and creates new commercial opportunities.
- External Relationships and Budget Management: Manage relationships with key external agencies and vendors, ensuring clear scopes of work (SOWs) and a strong return on investment.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of marketing and digital specialists, fostering a culture of creativity, performance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Proven experience leading successful, content-driven marketing campaigns, ideally within sports, entertainment, or events.
- Knowledge of data protection and compliance in marketing and digital contexts.
- Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to strategy.
- Expertise in brand management and content creation, with a passion for innovation.
- Leadership and presentation skills, with experience in managing and developing teams.
