Lime Talent are partnering with an award winning, employee owned food business in Surrey on a Demand Planner role. Our company supplies major UK retailers, food service, and manufacturing customers with predominantly Own Label as well as Branded ambient goods.


As a Demand Planner, you will be part of a small team within a leading, award-winning food business. Your role will be crucial in forecasting and managing inventory levels to meet customer demand efficiently. This position requires a keen understanding of market trends, data analysis skills, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for all products, considering factors such as historical sales data, demand fluctuations, market trends, seasonality, and shipping issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels across multiple distribution centres to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
  • Work closely with procurement, sales, and supply chain teams to communicate forecasted demand and ensure timely production and shipment scheduling.
  • Proactively identify and address demand-related issues, such as shortages or surplus inventory, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of forecasting models and adjust parameters as needed to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Track key performance metrics related to demand forecasting, inventory levels, and supply chain efficiency, creating reports for management.


Experience/Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Relevant degree or certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in a demand planner role is desirable.
