Role Summary


The Systems Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical support to the full suite of Inigo business applications, working with both internal development teams and selected software and infrastructure partners to ensure business systems remain operational to agreed SLA’s, ensuring documentation is maintained, and managing incidents as and when they occur.


As the Systems Support Analyst, you will be technically proficient in a range of application and infrastructure tools and architectures, have a solid understanding of corporate (preferably financial or insurance) environments, be self-motivated to work autonomously, and have a desire to further ones career within the industry.


The successful candidate will do this by:


  • Supporting Inigo’s underwriting, claims, risk management and financial applications, from 1st line requests, through to major incident management, resolution and root cause analysis
  • Liaising with business stakeholders and technical SME’s to resolve issues within agreed SLA’s, and working to create a continuous improvement culture within the team
  • Participating in, and when required managing the change, configuration and release management process, for both proprietary and turn key business applications
  • Creating and enhancing application support documentation and performing one-to-one and group training. As a result, also shift repetitive simple tasks towards the Service Desk
  • Enhancing the monitoring capability framework of internal and cloud hosted business applications
  • Providing desktop and infrastructure 1st/2nd line support when required
  • Working closely with selected cloud service providers and software application vendors
  • Adhering to Information Security processes and policy to ensure systems remain secure



To do this, we’re going to need you to bring:


Essential


  • Demonstrable experience in supporting insurance and reinsurance applications, both proprietary and vendor provided (especially Sequel Claims and Sequel Eclipse)
  • Experience of operating within the Insurance sector and in particular the Lloyds London market
  • Knowledge of SQL querying and reporting, and Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of the M365 application suite, especially SharePoint Online for document management and Power BI for information reporting and data visualization
  • Analytical thinking and complex technical problem solving across multi-tiered enterprise applications
  • Experience and knowledge of software development principles, database management, data warehouse, middleware, server, and cloud configuration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to produce accurate, concise reports
  • Experience in ITIL (or similar) incident management and service delivery framework
  • Track record of delivering continuous service improvement
  • Highly motivated with an ability to learn & master large and complex software systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Preferred


  • Fundamental knowledge of Cloud computing, especially Microsoft Azure. A fundamentals certification would also be nice to have
  • Experience in supporting cloud hosted applications and environments
  • Ability to “turn your hand” as required to IT infrastructure incident and problem management when required
  • Knowledge of Power BI, and its relevance/application to solving business problems and data visualization requirements
  • ITIL Foundation (or higher) certification
