We're currently recruiting for a Quality Compliance Engineer for a client of ours who designs, manufactures, and tests products for the Aerospace, Defence, and Space industries, within this role, you will be responsible for internal and external audits as well as the quality and compliance for the products manufactured.
Key Responsibilities for this role are:
To support the Business Unit and deliver premium custom image sensors, front-end electronics, and optical systems to external clients including NASA & ESA prime contractors, the Product Assurance Engineer is needed. The customer-focused Product Assurance Engineer's job is to ensure that project planning (bid & execution) and control are effective in meeting or exceeding customer expectations. In the event of an escape, the engineer's responsibility is to ensure that the proper root cause investigation is conducted and that corrective and preventive action is planned, tested, and implemented.
The PA Engineer will play a key role in collaborating with the project teams and the client to guarantee that the design and manufacturing risk (about quality) is recognised, assessed, and reduced through the presentation of current legacy and/or the validation of new design and manufacturing processes. Furthermore, the role will require the timely discovery and prioritisation of non-conformance, the management of non-conformance with well-defined containment, the identification of the root cause, and the successful implementation of corrective action at the project and management systems level.
Key Duties are:
- Establish and guide product assurance and requirement compliance;
- Provide support for design, test, and manufacturing readiness reviews throughout the project lifecycle;
- Strengthen the project's assembly, verification, validation, and test phases;
- Facilitate customer-mandated reviews; support a programme of risk-based internal and external audits; and adopt the administration of co-authorization and close-out permits, concessions, and NRBs.
To be eligible for this role you must have Experience within a Product/Quality Assurance role, preferably within space, aerospace or defence industries
