My client, is a top tier, award winning law firm, who have an unrivalled knowledge of communications and technology law, are recruiting for a motivated HR Operations Manager on a 18 month FTC basis. This role is a fantastic opportunity within a forward-thinking law firm.


The HR Operations Manager will work closely with the CPO and Head of HR Operations, as well as, key stakeholders across the wider firm. Managing and supporting with HR operations, various projects, process improvements and stakeholder management.


The key duties will include:

  • Reviewing and managing processes across a range of Human Resources functions, including but not limited to onboarding and payroll. They will ensure these are consistent, accurate and of high quality; this will involve monitoring service levels. The individual will be the point of escalation for the processes their team are responsible for.
  • Overall responsibility for process documentation and will work with the team to improve this. They will ensure the continuous review of all aspects of HR Operations to look for opportunities for improvements and higher service levels and will work with the Head of HR Operations to agree and introduce change.
  • Directly manage the HR Operations Specialist and two HR Coordinators, and they will be responsible for daily supervision and their development. Whilst operating at Manager level, you’ll need to be prepared to get involved in the detail of the role and directly involved in processes.
  • Building networks, both internal and external to the firm, to understand trends, opportunities and data to continuously evolve their understanding of best practice HR Operations and the employee experience.


The HR Operations Manager will have some previous experience within a dedicated HR Operations/Systems or Projects role, ideally within a professional services environment. They will have a core understanding of market trends and will have a solid knowledge of relevant legislations. The right candidate will be a collaborative and motivated person who can engage and collaborate well with others. They must be able to influence stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
