Position Overview


My client, with multiple offices throughout the UK is currently going through a period of change and development. The procurement function operates at a satisfactory level. It delivers a mix of both transactional and strategic procurement approaches which require improvement and alignment to corporate goals and expectations.


This is a newly created position. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable examples of leading procurement change and development through strategic category management. They will be a great influencer and storyteller ensuring stakeholders are on a collaborative journey of change. They are flexible on location within England and will offer an office base local to your home. You will be required to travel, influencing stakeholders at every opportunity.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide innovative solutions to supplier management.
  • Deliver effective change enhancing both internal and external perception of procurement and supply chain.
  • Collaboration, coaching and coordination.
  • Have an eye for detail and always lead by example.
  • Skilled in both strategic direct and indirect procurement
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at any one time, with demonstratable project management skills.
  • Leadership


Key Requirements


To apply for the Senior Director of Category Management you will have a proven history of improving, leading and developing continuous improvement processes contributing to excellence with supplier performance which satisfies the needs of service users, examples of this are required for successful applications. You may have learnt these skills within engineering, manufacturing, construction, or business services environments.



What’s on Offer


£80,000 to £100,000 plus benefits including company car and other corporate benefits.
