Procurement Category Manager
W Talent are now partnering with a Financial Services organisation to recruit a Procurement Category Manager. You will ideally be based in Yorkshire or the surrounding areas; this is a hybrid position encouraging applications UK wide.
Position Overview
As the procurement category manager, you will focus on continuous improvement within this significant and diverse supply chain of suppliers and their service provisions. Quality assurance, systems improvement, innovation and total cost of service acquisition will be the success drivers in this Procurement role.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing strategic direction for the procurement of goods and/or services aligned to corporate objectives.
- Lead procurement category management projects.
- Leading complex global sourcing projects to ensure continuous improvement and stakeholder value.
- Stakeholder influence, managing vendor risk and driving vendor innovation.
- Risk Management.
Key Requirements
- Demonstratable ability to guide and influence a wide range of senior stakeholders.
- A commercially astute operator.
- Strong data analysis skills supporting strategic procurement decision making.
- Sourcing based on real time actual and forecasted demand.
- Leading large-scale negotiations.
- Strong experience of executing complex sourcing processes.
- Clear and precise project progress reporting skills.
- Be able to clearly demonstrate experience within category management.
- Project management.
- Proven success in ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.
- Willingness to learn Financial Services relevant standards, directives, and regulations.
