Senior Sous Chef role:We are looking for a passionate and experienced **Senior Sous Chef** to join the team. As the Senior Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food, and leading a talented team of chefs. You will work closely with the Head Chef to develop and execute a menu that embodies our ethos of minimal intervention and natural flavours, all while adding a unique Mediterranean flair to modern British cuisine.
Senior Sous Chef key responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu planning, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Lead and inspire a team of chefs, fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, with a focus on natural flavours and lighter styles.
  • Maintain a commitment to sustainability and conscientious cooking practices, sourcing high-quality ingredients from trusted suppliers.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of our menu, bringing fresh ideas and innovative techniques to the table.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring a seamless and high-quality service.

Senior Sous Chef requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-end, modern British or European restaurant.
  • Strong understanding of Mediterranean and modern British cuisine, with a passion for minimal intervention cooking and natural flavours.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
  • A commitment to sustainability and conscientious cooking practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and professional attitude.
