Role Overview


The Senior Business Development Manager at inurface media is responsible for driving business growth and attracting new clients, prospects, and opportunities, as well as researching new market sectors and having a strong technical understanding of all products sold by the company to add value in these sectors. You will develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue, expand market presence, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.


You will successfully seek out, nurture and maintain executive-level relationships with new clients, and aim to drive the growth of these clients to an agreed target per year. This will be planned in line with a monthly forecast, defining revenue as well as the strategic activity to generate new opportunities. This should be in line with wider company strategy.


Additionally, you will be able to lead and mentor junior team members to helping them to develop their skills and understanding of market dynamics and how to strategically plan. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in ensuring the client services and business development team is collaborative.


Role Responsibilities


  • Drive Business Growth: Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue, expand market presence, and identify new business opportunities in line with the company's growth objectives.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Seek out, nurture, and maintain executive-level relationships with new clients, aiming to meet or exceed agreed-upon annual revenue targets.
  • Market Research & Sector Expansion: Research and explore new market sectors, while maintaining a strong technical understanding of the company’s products to effectively align them with industry needs and add value to new sectors.
  • Strategic Forecasting: Plan and manage a monthly revenue forecast, defining both the financial targets and the strategic activities required to generate new business opportunities, aligned with overall company strategy.
  • Mentoring & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support junior team members, helping them develop their market knowledge and strategic planning skills to contribute to the team's success.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment within the client services and business development teams to ensure seamless coordination and the achievement of shared objectives.


Person Specification

  • Demonstrated success in business development, driving revenue growth, and expanding market presence within a relevant industry
  • A good understanding of the AV or Retail Technology industry
  • A strong ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships with new clients
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications and CRM software
  • A creative approach and intermediate to expert use of presentation software such as PowerPoint or Keynote.
  • Excellent oral and written communicator
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet expectations for quick turnaround times
  • Able to achieve results independently and as part of a team
