Lanxess UK are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join us remotely in our Inorganic Pigments Business Unit. While the role is remote, our clients are based in the south of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Eire so you will be located in an ideal commuting distance for these areas and with easy access to an airport.


About the role

Business Unit Inorganic Pigments are looking for a new field-based Technical Sales Representative to join the UK/Ire team. Responsible for the full range of products within the Business Unit (primarily inorganic pigments from the Bayferrox, Colortherm and Hydrocol brands) covering a number of markets (including building products, coatings, plastics and specialities) in the south of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Eire. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager (UK / Ire) your key responsibilities are to support, maintain and grow the market share in the territory based on developing market and application knowledge and relationships with all key parties.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing existing and developing new customers
  • Staying alert and informed to all market developments and translating into potentials
  • Developing close relationships with the existing and potential marketplace giving the business unit the edge over our competition


About You

We are looking for an experienced individual who is comfortable working with people at a range of levels. You will be an excellent communicator who is likely to be familiar with the use of inorganic pigments through previous experience in a technical or sales function supplying to, or working within, concrete products or an allied industry. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and German language would be considered an advantage.
