Our client is a leading entity in the sports industry, known for delivering world-class events that combine intense competition and entertainment, and are committed to enhancing the event experience for participants and audiences alike.
THE ROLE
The Director of Event Operations is responsible for driving and maintaining event strategy, delivering best-in-class processes and procedures that support the successful delivery and growth of our events.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of, and maintain, our event consumer, team, stakeholder behaviour insights using technology-led solutions.
- Deliver optimal workflow and capacity planning solutions for upcoming events.
- Work with the Event Team and EMCs to take responsibility for the collection and curation of key event milestone documents, and management of progress tracking software.
- Support the development of event strategy, using data and research to enhance event experience and deliver innovation across events.
- Deliver insights and data-led post-event reports and recommendations for enhancing all events.
THE PERSON
Experience:
- 7-10 years’ experience in project management and/or major events.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to lead process improvement.
- Proven leader – able to communicate and generate support across teams and stakeholders.
- Creative, innovative, and solutions-led mentality.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate confidently and professionally across all levels of the business.
