About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced, CMIOSH Consultancy Operations Manager with risk, compliance and safety experience, to join our professional services team. The Consultancy Operations Manager will play a critical role in managing various aspects of quality assurance, product management, the provision of technical advice and learning & development within our organisation.


Key Responsibilities Include;

  • Oversee the product management process, ensuring that products and solutions meet the specific needs and requirements of our product standards and clients.
  • Lead on Ark’s consultancy software tools, including development, maintenance, and training.
  • Support tenders with the product and technical offering.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive safety services product design, improvements and enhancements, maintaining and improving quality and incorporating standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions to our clients.
  • Ensuring a high standard of technical support is provided to internal teams and clients, addressing technical inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations, standards, and technical advancements, supported by a panel of subject matter experts to keep the organisation informed with technical updates.
  • Establish and maintain quality control measures to monitor and evaluate the performance and conformance of our services and solutions, including BAFE accreditation, skills matrix / skills matrix improvements, and linking competency framework with skills matrix.
  • Continuously improving a competence management system to ensure that employees possess the necessary skills and qualifications to deliver high-quality services.
  • Provide quality management, supported by a quality and technical team to ensure the successful implementation of quality assurance.
  • Identify learning and development needs within the organisation and design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge in risk and safety consulting.
  • Monitor and analysis of quality metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in safety consulting and incorporate them into the organisation's processes and systems.


Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and or exposure in a relevant field (e.g., Safety Management) is desirable.
  • CMIOSH membership distinct advantage, would consider similar.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, technical support, and learning & development within the safety consulting industry (an advantage).
  • Experience in developing and producing professionally written documents, reports and training courses.
  • Demonstrate suitable skills and a creative mindset to develop and manage a product portfolio.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, HSG 65) and best practices.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to create solutions with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management to solicit ideas and information as well as approaches from a broad range of stakeholders including clients, account team, sales team and the professional services team.
  • Good analytical skills including capturing requirements, reviewing them all the way through to creating the solution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Pragmatic and commercially savvy professional.
  • Continuous improvement / growth mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality services and solutions.
  • Self-starter that focuses on progress not just tasks.

Job Specifics

  • Hybrid with regular travel into London – approx. 8 days per month.
