About the Client:

Our client is a leading provider of Cyber Security SME Consultancy dedicated to helping organizations enhance their cyber risk management practices. They focus on ensuring resilience and security across their clients' operations through strategic transformation initiatives.


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, SC cleared, Project Manager with a background in Naval, Maritime, or Military environments. In this pivotal role, you will assist clients in enhancing their cyber risk mitigation capabilities. This includes managing and delivering discrete projects, strategic guidance, and fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and resilience.


Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and manage risk mitigations from federated teams through discrete projects, ensuring coherence and focused outputs such as:

  • Culture, awareness, and behaviour interventions
  • Addressing DLODs to deliver capabilities into service
  • Providing support into the SbD
  • Digitizing risk metrics and processes using automation tools
  • Support cybersecurity audits and interpret data from culture surveys, communicating key messages to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage the Cyber Risk Kanban, determining task priorities, ownership, and efficient plan management.
  • Ensure traceability of activities within the client’s framework.
  • Lead Kanban reviews and oversee requirements for CDIO briefings.
  • Provide oversight of key objectives and activities delivered by junior colleagues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cyber risk mitigation approaches with client objectives, adapting to evolving needs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments related to cybersecurity, integrating relevant insights into mitigation strategies.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • A background in Defence Cyber Security project management
  • Experience supporting as a project manager specialists to teams deliver Cyber risk transformation and mitigation programmes.
  • Experience in managing activities from identification to recommendations, securing additional resources as necessary.
  • Proficiency in project risk management tools or software is essential.
  • Experience with Kanban, Waterfall and Agile


Nice to have, but not essential:

  • A degree in Risk Management, Project Management, or a related field is desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as APMG Agile Project Management, Scrum Master, APMQ, PRINCE2, or similar are desirable.
