Our client is one of the fastest-growing Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in the UK. With an ambitious goal of growing turnover by 20% over the next 12 months, they need to enhance profitability and efficiency at every level of their business.


Central to this strategy is the appointment of an experienced, sales-focused leader who will not only drive the development of a clear and consistent sales methodology focused on account management, relationship development, and customer success, but also play a pivotal role in delivering a change management program that will effectively overhaul our current customer management practices.


About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Head Sales & Customer Success to elevate the profile of customer success across the business. You will oversee their Vendor programme, advocate for a robust tech stack for their clients, and optimise the Sales Administration team’s workflows, including order processing, goods management, and renewals.


You’ll lead a team of Account Managers, working closely with their Principal Account Manager to develop a Customer Success model that consistently delivers exceptional service and raises the profile of customer success throughout the organisation.


The Ideal Candidate

You are a seasoned and resilient leader with a background in Sales, Account Management, or Customer Success, ideally within an IT MSP (Managed Services Provider) environment. You have a track record of driving growth from existing customer accounts and come with a 'playbook' of customer best practices.


You are an empathetic and inspiring leader with a growth mindset, motivated by building an exceptional, high-performing account management/customer success team. You are adept at handling escalations and are ultimately accountable for retaining and developing managed service contracts and relationships.


Please note, there is no 'New Business' involved in this role; however, our client is open to Senior Managers who also handle new business alongside account management and customer success.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in MSP and/or IT sales within a fast-paced and competitive business environment.
  • Proficiency in sales processes and methodologies.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of sales professionals and administrators.
  • Capable of leading change and setting a vision for team members that aligns with business objectives but translatable in a way that mean something to every individual in the team
  • Recognises the value of surrounding themselves with ambitious, creative individuals who take responsibility and are committed to ensuring these team members are developed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take the initiative.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and an understanding of the importance of data.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with vendors, partners, and clients.
  • Leadership skills to motivate, guide, and support team members.
  • Adaptability to a rapidly changing commercial landscape.
