Role Overview

The PMO Analyst will support the Technology PMO by providing financial analysis, tracking, and reporting to ensure effective management of the technology project portfolio. They will work closely with stakeholders to assist with the transition to a Value Management Office (VMO)

Role Responsibilities
  • Define data-driven metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance of the portfolio
  • Work with the Finance Business Partner to define, implement, and operate a financial tracking framework for technology projects and programmes
  • Provide transparency into resource assignments to activities, including third parties, and develop processes to allocate resources to activities
  • Support in the review and approval process for key Project and Programmes
  • Work closely with project managers to acquire a good knowledge and understanding of allocated projects and business area, enabling analysis, challenge and quality assurance
  • Assist in the ongoing process improvement of the PMO and governance framework.
  • Complete quality audits on project documentation
  • Work closely with Project Managers and other Delivery team members to ensure the smooth delivery of projects and the optimal use of resources
  • Escalate governance and control concerns
Experience / Competences

Essential
  • Highly developed analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Previous experience working in a busy environment
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Credible and confident with the ability to persuade and influence senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong and flexible work ethic with flexibility and willingness to learn new skills
  • Self-motivated individual with an ability to prioritise different tasks
  • Agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Desired
  • Banking / Financial Services Experience
  • Knowledge and Experience of JIRA
  • Experience of SAFe methodology and Lean Portfolio Management
