Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Tableau Developer for an initial 6 month contract on a remote first basis (candidates must be UK based for tax purposes).

Purpose of the Role:

Our client (a major UK retail bank) are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Developer to join their team. The role focuses on a project around business contributions by providing a wide range of financial metrics and context for the bank's customers. This involves generating insights, consolidating data, and managing information within Tableau as well as managing stakeholders. The successful candidate will handle a backlog of project work effectively, contributing to the development and refinement of Agile processes.

You will be looked to you to interrogate, interpret and visualise large volumes of data to identify, support and challenge business opportunities and identify solutions.

As a Tableau Developer you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging and collaborating with developers and customers.
  • Working closely with the Developer and Business Manager to concentrate on project goals.
  • Supporting on the continuing development of agile methodologies.
  • Performing data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis.
  • Conducting and supporting options analysis, identifying the most appropriate solution.
  • Accountable for the full traceability and linkage of business requirements of analytics outputs.
  • Seeking opportunities to challenge and improve current business processes, ensuring the best result for the customer.
  • Creating and executing quality assurance at various stages of the project in order to validate the analysis and to ensure data quality, identify data inconsistencies, and resolve as needed.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Strong experience in Business Intelligence tooling, platforming, concepts & benefits case.
  • Expert Tableau development abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail in your work with a risk-free based approach & controls focus.
  • A proven track record of senior stakeholder management, engagement, collaboration and requirements analysis skills.
  • Strong organisation, planning and controls especially within an Agile work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with data knowledge and preparation capability to support analytics.
  • Experience with Snowflake (desirable).
