Head of Delivery

Join Sopra Steria's UK Government & Transport Divisions as our Head of Delivery in the dynamic Data and AI Practice This senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Practice Director, places you at the heart of our Senior Leadership Team.

As a pivotal leader, you will drive the day-to-day success of our projects, inspire and guide our Practice teams, and ensure excellence across project delivery, meeting time, cost, and quality expectations. You'll also spearhead the resourcing and execution of bids and work-winning activities. What you'll be doing:

• Lead all aspects of the delivery of all Data and AI projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Implement standard processes for project management and delivery, including agile methodologies
• Lead the Delivery team within the Data & AI Practice, including Project and Programme Managers, Engagement Managers, PSO's and Business Analysts.
• Work closely with the sales and pre-sales teams to assess the feasibility and resource requirements of new bids.
• Contribute to the development of compelling proposals that demonstrate the company's capabilities.

What you'll bring:

• demonstrable experience in project delivery within an IT services environment, including Data & AI projects/programmes.
• Proven track record in managing large, complex projects, including product implementation and development projects.
• Experience in managing supplier technology partners (e.g. AWS, Microsoft).
• Excellent project management skills with a deep understanding of various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Experience in a Delivery Manager role with proven leadership ability
• Strong pre-sales and consultancy skills with direct experience in AI

It would be great if you had:

• Experience in Product Management is desirable
• Membership of a recognised professional IT body
• ITIL/ Prince2
