Overview

The client is a major player in the global energy sector, focusing on sustainable and innovative energy technologies. Operates in both the renewable and conventional energy sectors, aiming to drive the energy transition.


Role:

As an EHS professional, you will have a critical role in maintaining health and safety standards in our office workplace, as well as at our customer sites. Your responsibilities will revolve around minimising risks, ensuring a healthy working environment, and adhering to health and safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and implement safety programs, EHS initiatives, and campaigns
  • Analyse statistical data and reports to identify safety-related problems and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Regularly perform safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance with standards and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assess risks and advise employers and employees on occupational health.
  • Investigate workplace accidents.
  • Be knowledgeable of legal requirements and implement them within our business.
  • Support risk assessment associated with site tasks.
  • Review and approve EHS Plans for use at Customer sites.
  • Ensure that legal requirements are understood, implemented, and maintained in our office workplace and at Customer sites.
  • Maintain the EHS Aspect table updated reviewing periodically with stakeholders.
  • Promote a proactive health, safety and environmental culture.
  • Manage the EHS training program.
  • Participate in EHS audits as required.


Experience & Qualification Required

  • 5+ years as an EHS professional
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in EHS or a related field
  • NEBOSH diploma strongly preferred
  • Fire Safety Competent Person training and certification
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 and 45001 specifications
  • ISO Auditor qualification and experience preferred
  • Trained in Root Cause Analysis methodologies
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and ability to present to people of all levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
