Position Overview:

As a Senior Global Payroll Associate/Senior Associate, you will be responsible for key payroll duties, including auditing, accounting, reviewing processes, ensuring payroll cycle accuracy, calculating tax and pay adjustments, and handling payroll operations across multiple countries, including the US. You will report to and collaborate closely with the Managing Director of Payroll and Compensation to ensure payroll procedures are efficient, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations. This role also involves accounting tasks, such as creating, reviewing, and approving entries and managing month-end close processes. Additionally, you will work with HR to verify and update employee payroll records, timesheets, benefits, and taxes, while identifying process improvement opportunities.

To succeed in this role, candidates must have a strong background in accounting and payroll, ideally gained in similar positions.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as HR, Finance, and Tax to collect payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Oversee tax reconciliation to ensure proper withholding and reporting in line with local tax laws.
  • Handle equity transactions, RSUs, and ESPP, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Perform payroll accounting tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to internal teams and external auditors.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to document payroll policies for consistency and compliance across regions.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve payroll errors or discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members.
  • Assist with additional projects as assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll administration, ideally in a multinational company.
  • CPP qualification strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements across various countries.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., NetSuite, UKG, Workday) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll accounting procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
