What you'll do

As a Strategic Finance Business Partner, you'll work within the technology finance team supporting Digital X. You’ll be providing business insights and market knowledge to assist the leadership team to make key product, cost and investments specific decisions as well supporting them on the execution and delivery of the bank's digital and engineering strategy.

You’ll also:

  • Analyse financial regulatory change impact on products and services
  • Provide investment tracking and forecasting reviews
  • Use the data and analytics thinking required to solve strategic problems using the latest tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with our Finance centre of excellence to provide specific financial plans, forecasts, stress testing and customer, market or segment analysis
  • Review and challenge the use of resources presented in investment decisions and business cases

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need good stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate, influence and resolve conflict. Along with planning and organisation capabilities, you’ll need the ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment.

You’ll also need:

  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise and non-technical manner
  • The ability to create and review plans, forecasts, models and stress scenarios
  • Strategic awareness and the ability to apply business knowledge, expertise and challenge to support the business
  • Good finance functional knowledge, accounting knowledge and product area and market segment knowledge
