Salary: £64,000+ dependant on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the capability planning and portfolio management of the Digital IT and Infrastructure enabling programmes related to the mobilisation and sustainment of capability into the FalconWorks Line of Business within the Air Sector. The portfolio includes, for example:
  • Delivery of IM&T enabling services for the FalconWorks Line of Business
  • Support the Digital IT, Cyber, Data, Security and Infrastructure Facilities enablement of services into the wider Air Business through FalconWorks enablement
  • Assurance of Digital IT, Cyber, Data, Security and Infrastructure Facilities delivery to deployed BAES, Partner and customer teams across FalconWorks
  • Continues to evolve the Air Digital Strategy for FalconWorks – building on the high level vision for Air and including road maps for enabling digital IT technologies, FalconWorks programmes and the planning and management of the budget and resources required to deliver
  • Leads and supports key growth through contracts and future bid activities to support improvement in our capabilities as a key activity to lead to successful follow on contracts and acquisitions

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Strong IT background with an understanding of enterprise architecture and strategic planning
  • Proficient in IT technologies, particularly cloud computing
  • Experience in cybersecurity and IT Standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience handling large-scale projects and budget planning
  • Capable of managing business roadmaps and supporting their development

Desirable:

  • Aerospace and defence experience is a plus
  • Project management background is advantageous

The Digital Tech & Data Infrastructure Service Delivery team:

Reporting to the DTD&I ( Digital tech and data infrastructure service delivery unit) Business Partner for FalconWorks, this role is part of the DTD&I FalconWorks Management team. The responsibilities include leading the Digital and Infrastructure Workstreams, coordinating and delivering IBP for both DTD&I and FalconWorks, and managing Governance and Assurance Reporting, Senior Business Reporting, and operational performance reporting. The role also involves overseeing assurance review coordination, supporting Digital delivery teams to achieve FalconWorks’ business goals, and understanding and shaping the FalconWorks strategy for DTD&I. Additionally, it requires influencing and shaping the FalconWorks component of the DTD&I strategy and plans (IBP), driving operational excellence within FalconWorks, and helping DTD&I improve competitiveness and efficiency.
