About the role:


Ink Studio is looking for a Staff Writer with experience writing, editing, and commissioning persuasive copy for digital, print and video. The workload will be varied and fast paced and will include everything from social campaigns to display ads, print advertorials to video scripts, tech explainer docs to pitch presentations. We need to see a portfolio of commercially savvy copy for a broad mix of outputs and a positive can-do attitude. You will be based in our West London head-office and report to the Creative Director.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with key stakeholders producing dynamic, engaging advertising campaigns for clients.
  • Writing persuasive, target market-related copy that adheres to established brand voice, tone, and guidelines.
  • Commission, edit and sub scintillating copy of various lengths for numerous formats.
  • Use different writing styles to appeal to different demographics.
  • Apply advertising techniques to boost brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
  • Research clients, their competitors, and their target audiences.
  • Handling multiple client accounts, working on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines.
  • Support and manage junior copywriters.


Essential requirements:


  • 3+ years experience in a creative agency or similar setting.
  • Experience writing for multiple brands and a dedication to best-in-class content.
  • Strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with best social advertising copywriting practices.
  • A portfolio of social posts showing copy written for a diverse range of audiences.
  • Ability to write good, clear copy in a variety of styles, with accurate spelling and grammar.
  • Self-motivation, flexibility, stamina, and the ability to adapt.
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, resilience, and determination.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to understand the target audience.
  • An interest in popular culture, new trends and styles.
  • Good research, admin, IT, proofreading, and time keeping skills.


Bonus:


  • Familiarity with online paid advertising (e.g Facebook Creative hub, Google Studio).
  • Track and report on social media insights (traffic, engagement, shares, conversion rates).
  • Additional languages (especially Spanish, French, and German)
  • Working knowledge of SEO, analytics tools, and keyword research.
