IKM Testing in Aberdeen are seeking to recruit a Senior Equipment Operator to join our busy Well Services team. This is an offshore field-based position for the right candidate.


The suitable candidate must have the relevant offshore certification and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role which includes operating multiple types of pumps and well services ancillary equipment. This is a staff position and personnel will be ad hoc and expected to mobilise at short notice.

To be considered for this position, you must be willing to travel offshore/ Internationally as and when required by the department, possess a can-do attitude, have a strong work ethic, be innovate and deliver and maintain a high level of service quality for clients and colleagues.


Overall Purpose of the Job

The Equipment Operator will operate and maintain assigned Stimulation/Cementing equipment safely and efficiently and is responsible for the preparation of the fluids/cement at the wellsite.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Ensures that adequate safety precautions are taken prior to any job.
  • Carry out all the necessary tests and pre-use inspections on the equipment and tools for the job to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Ensure proper reporting of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Ensure that all equipment for the job is free of any damages/defects and is fully operations prior to any operations job. In the event of damages, a damage report shall be made.
  • Assist in Rig-up and equipment placement.
  • Ensure that operations are conducted as per the company Standard Operating Procedures and is in adherence to the Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform standard pumping operations.
  • Rig up treating iron / hose for ALL pumping operations.
  • Perform standard daily checks and full maintenance of units.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Perform basic pumping related calculations.
  • Ability to re-pack Fluid Ends.
  • Maintain a good and healthy relations among all superiors, colleagues, and subordinates.
  • Provide all necessary guidance and coaching to all direct subordinates during operations for a proper execution of the job.
  • Mix and blend fluids such as acids, cement etc.


Qualifications Required (Technical, Professional, Academic)


Essential:

  • Must possess all valid UK offshore certification needed to travel and work offshore.


Experience Required


Essential:

  • Previous experience of pressure pumping using Triplex, centrifugal and air driven pumps.


Preferred:

  • N2 pumping operations experience.
  • Previous experience of cementing with skid based equipment.

  • Excellent skills in computer and Microsoft Office software.
