UK, UK, United Kingdom theEword Full time

We’re looking for a digital marketing manager to take a hands-on role in the delivery of key client campaigns and responsibility for our client’s digital strategies.

Title: Digital Marketing Manager

Hours: Full-time

Location: Hybrid at Northern Quarter, Manchester

Salary: £35,000 per annum + £1,800 annual cost of living bonus + Upto 7% annual salary increase + ad-hoc bonuses.

ABOUT THEEWORD

At theEword, we’re creating a world where everyone can find their place. We help property companies increase leads, fill beds, generate footfall and sell homes, with the vision to be the #1 global digital strategy agency for property companies.

We do this by using marketing intelligence, and audience insights to deliver high-performing digital marketing strategies.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

You’ll be taking on the digital marketing strategies for our clients, working on everything from creative strategy and execution, to production and reporting.

Working with multichannel experts across disciplines as diverse as Paid Media, content marketing, SEM, and beyond, you’ll naturally be experienced enough to understand the uses and strengths of each channel.

As someone who has had at least two years of experience in a digital agency or in an in-house marketing team, you will have enjoyed being involved in both the production and management of marketing projects and campaigns, as well as organising budgets, schedules, and planners, creating reports and monitoring performance, while developing your marketing knowledge.

By its nature, the role will be varied - your mission will be to use your skills to drive commercial success for our clients, through campaigns and experiences people will love.

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Senior Digital Marketing Managers to devise and execute digital strategies that align with clients' marketing objectives.
  • Maintain open communication with partners to ensure smooth account operations, monitoring progress, results, and deadlines.
  • Taking charge of campaign management; effectively utilising resource from junior staff and partners, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality client projects, and proactively problem-solving to overcome obstacles.
  • Optimise client account channels (Paid Media (Google, Meta, TikTok), SEO, Social Media, Email Marketing) based on data-driven insights. Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of integrated digital marketing campaigns across diverse channels, including Paid Search (PPC), search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), social media, email marketing, content marketing, and display advertising.
  • Work with Snr Digital Marketing Managers to set clear goals for digital channels, match key performance indicators (KPIs) with client marketing objectives, and use analytical tools to regularly improve and make changes that have a positive impact on KPI results.
  • Effectively oversee annual/quarterly/monthly digital budgets, ensuring efficient utilisation of client budget resources.
  • Keep on top of digital marketing trends, news, and changes, leveraging this knowledge to develop creative campaigns, optimisations, and ideas for clients.
  • Support the growth of junior team members by supervising tasks where necessary and passing on knowledge to help develop their digital skills.
  • Evaluate and formulate business cases for new projects to contribute towards achieving ambitious company growth objectives.
  • Generate and maintain insightful digital marketing reports for clients, offering unique perspectives that enhance their understanding.
  • Coordinate and oversee the creation of creative assets, including social media posts, email marketing mailers, and videos.
  • Making visual social assets using platforms such as Canva.

KEY SKILLS

  • At least two years working in an environment where you’ve been headed up multichannel digital campaigns across disciplines such as SEO/PPC, organic and paid social media, influencer marketing, video, and inbound/content marketing
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in the management of digital KPI’s and strong knowledge of digital best practices.
  • Good knowledge of PPC, SEM, SEO, CRO, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, and display advertising.
  • Experience in managing people and partnerships. Ideally having had experience in coaching and leading junior staff and partners.
  • Hands-on experience in planning, production, and promotion of campaign work for clients.
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrable previous success, having worked on multiple projects and campaigns in a digital or creative marketing agency environment.
  • Excellent ability to take briefs and turn them into ideas and moments that clients - and their customers - will love, drawing on your own strengths and those of your colleagues
  • Highly organised, with amazing written and verbal communication skills and a love of working with and being around people.
  • A strong presenter, able to speak confidently within in-person and virtual meetings.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Background in property marketing, within PBSA, Property Development or BTR is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to confidently set up conversion tracking using platforms such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, GAds, Facebook & TikTok, including setting up and creating Pixels.
  • Experience in building and analysing Looker Studio reports, with the ability to identify what key metrics should be shown in the report and how to set them up.
  • Able to work with WordPress and other CMS systems.
  • Additional design skills or experience using tools such as InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Able to write copy and work across different media and channels
  • Certifications across relevant platforms such as Google Ads, Google Analytics
  • Prior experience of project management tools such as Trello.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

We want to get the best out of our team; we have a sensible hybrid working and flexitime policy that allows you to be in an office when you want, but work remotely when it's more productive. You can expect to be in the office at least 2 days a month and when required for client face-to-face meetings.

We’re a supportive growing team, and we’re big on training and self-improvement. We have an annual salary increase scheme (up to 7% each year).

We enjoy quarterly social events, but we don’t enforce socialising. We respect our team’s work-life balance.

For our clients, the big difference is our approach to strategy. We run discovery and strategy creation workshops, we create strategy playbooks that align with our client's goals then we adjust and optimise based on real-world data. Our campaigns perform better because we dig deep into our client's businesses and their customers, so we understand the buying cycle and our client's customers' pain points.

We work with clients who value the way we work, not being afraid of experimenting with new ideas and tactics to get the best results, and who see us as an extension of their team.
