The Duty Manager oversees daily operations at the development and is the primary point of contact for any incidents or issues related to customers, team members, and visitors. They should utilise staff, contractors, and available resources to ensure the highest quality of service is provided, meeting all requirements of the management contract, lease(s), and service standards. The Duty Manager should be a champion of Health & Safety and embody the company values.


Main Responsibilities as a Duty Manager

  • Team Leadership– Manage and lead your team to ensure high standards across the development. Participate in the recruitment and development of your team, ensuring all standard operating procedures and HR policies are followed.
  • Contractor Management– Collaborate with other site team members to oversee contract/contractor management routines, ensuring contracts are effectively implemented, and contractor works, and behaviour meet the highest standards.
  • Asset Management– Support asset management routines, ensuring planned maintenance tasks, risk action tasks, and mobilisation tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Mobilisation– Assist in the mobilisation process, including liaising with clients, support teams, and stakeholders involved in site mobilisation. Ensure tasks are meticulously completed and recorded in relevant systems.
  • Health & Safety – Take ownership of Health & Safety at the development, ensuring risks are identified and actioned. Collaborate with team members, the client, support teams, contractors, and customers to maintain high standards of health & safety and risk management. Carry out site-specific duties related to resident amenities, such as inspections and alarm checks.

  • Be meticulous in their safety approach, tracking, inspecting, and learning from trends.
  • Financial Management: Support the wider team with the ongoing financial management of the development, remaining conscious of development budgets and requesting information as needed.
  • Compliance: All employees must ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and data protection regulations.
