New Compliance Manager (Monitoring) opportunity working with a global specialty insurer. Reporting into the Head of Compliance, you provide timely, top-quality compliance monitoring services to a range of business stakeholders and to the firm’s governing bodies.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and continuously improve the methods for monitoring compliance
  • Prepare the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Conduct compliance monitoring in accordance with the Plan and agreed methodologies
  • Assist business stakeholders with the design of controls where compliance monitoring identifies control weaknesses
  • Prepare Compliance Monitoring status reports
  • Track and report progress re. agreed remedial actions
  • Conduct thematic and other reviews, as required
  • Work closely with the other Assurance functions
  • Assist with the preparatory work in the event of regulatory inspections
  • Assist with the drafting of annual Compliance Plan and departmental procedures
  • Assist the Head of Compliance with the implementation of the Compliance Plan and the management of the Compliance function


Key Skills and Experience:


  • Strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements (preferably Lloyd’s, FCA, PRA)
  • Experience in a Lloyd’s Managing Agent or Syndicate
  • A thorough understanding of Compliance Monitoring (purpose and practice)
