Chef de Partie - The Trafalgar St. James

Part of Crimson Hotels, The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton is a 5 Star hotel with 131 bedrooms including 15 suites, and a number of venues consisting of our unique The Rooftop Bar and Rockwell that pride themselves in the quality of service that they provide.

We are looking for a Chef de Partie for one of our restaurants to showcase their versatility, and excel in our dynamic kitchen environment.

The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you'll be responsible for managing a section in our kitchen, ensuring that every dish you prepare is crafted with precision and flair. You will work closely with our senior chefs, learning from their expertise while contributing your own creativity and culinary skills. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional food, whether for our hotel's guests or visitors to our unique venues.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of a designated section in the kitchen, executing dishes with consistency and excellence.
  • Collaborating with senior chefs to maintain the highest quality and presentation standards.
  • Participating in the overall kitchen operations, contributing to a harmonious team atmosphere.
  • Assisting in menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
  • Ensuring food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.

The Chef de Partie will be passionate, possess strong communication skills, able to work alone or as a team, and look forward to learning and developing their career.

The Person

An ideal candidate is a person with strong kitchen experience inlcuding breakfast service. You are able to use your intuition and creativity to deliver a meaningful experience for guests. The ability to multitask and prioritise is important, as well as the ability to work well under pressure with a broad smile. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, produce quality work and be flexible to work shifts.

Experience within a similar environment is essential as well as great attitude, quality and interpersonal skills. We will give you the tools to ensure you are successful in your role.
