The Logistics Manager Opportunity: This is a full-time permanent position, reporting directly to the Group Planning Leader. The successful Logistics Manager will be responsible for delivering the Sales and Operational Plan, optimizing supply and demand through reliable supply chain management, and ensuring cost control within budget limitations. As the new Logistics Manager, you will have substantial responsibility from day one, helping to drive the Runcorn asset through a critical period of investment and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Single Point of Contact for European Demand Planning, managing interfaces with internal and external customers.
- Lead, manage, and optimize all European Demand logistics activities, including marine shipping, road haulage, and external storage contracts.
- Monitor external power prices and adjust production rates to maintain cost optimization.
- Provide cover for planning issues.
Ideal Candidate:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent (however candidates qualified by experience will be considered).
- 5+ years of commercial / planning experience.
- Analytical, negotiating, and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently with thoroughness.
- Understanding of cost management.
- Willingness to provide extensive out-of-hours contact and team cover.
