PAID MEDIA ASSISTANT

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Paid Media Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone eager to start their career in paid media and digital marketing and gain hands-on experience.

Title: Paid Media Assistant

Hours: Full-time

Location: Remote and/or Northern Quarter, Manchester

Salary: £21,000 per annum + cost of living bonus (£1,800 per annum)

ABOUT THEEWORD

At theEword, we’re creating a world where everyone can find their place. We help property companies increase leads, fill beds, generate footfall and sell homes, with the vision to be the #1 global digital strategy agency for property companies.

We do this by using marketing intelligence, and audience insights to deliver high-performing digital marketing strategies.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Paid Media Assistant, you will work closely with and report to the Paid Media Manager, as well as collaborate with our Digital Marketing Managers and Senior Digital Marketing Managers on various client accounts. Our work includes a blend of essential BAU (Business As Usual) campaigns and innovative, creative-led campaigns that focus heavily on paid search and social media.

Our clients' campaigns range from local to global, spanning multiple territories and languages. The work is engaging, challenging, and offers variety every day. If you are ambitious, a keen learner, and looking for a role with a clear career path, this position could be an excellent fit for you.

This role is ideal for candidates looking to make their first step into the digital landscape and specialise in paid media. While you may have a basic understanding of digital marketing and paid media, what’s most important is a hunger to learn and develop your skills further.

We’re a supportive, caring business that wants to get the best out of ambitious people. We ask that our team come into the office for two days a month, but in reality, you’re likely to be in the office four days a month. Want to be in the office every day? No problem. Want to avoid travelling for hours on end and WFH? That’s a-ok with us. Spend time at the office and you’ll find a group of smart, thoughtful individuals who support each other.

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ad & Campaign Build: Building out campaigns and ads for our clients in-platform according to ad plans.
  • Audience Research: Conduct research to understand target audiences and their behaviours.
  • Search Terms Reporting: Generate and analyse reports on search terms to optimise campaigns.
  • Policy Issue Solving: Assist in identifying and resolving policy-related issues in advertising campaigns.
  • Software Integrations: Set up and manage integrations using tools such as Zapier and Power My Analytics to automate workflows.
  • Report Commentary: Provide insightful commentary on campaign performance reports.
  • Negative Keyword Analysis: Identify and manage negative keywords to improve campaign efficiency.
  • New Keyword Opportunities Research: Research and suggest new keyword opportunities for campaign expansion.
  • Audience Management: Help manage and segment audiences for targeted marketing efforts.
  • Bid Adjustments: Assist in making bid adjustments to optimise ad spend and performance.
  • Ad Copy Creation: Write compelling ad copy to attract and engage audiences.
  • Ad Design: Support in designing visually appealing ads.
  • Spend Checks: Monitor and report on weekly ad spend to ensure budget compliance.
  • Ad Analysis: Analyse ad performance and suggest improvements. Evaluate ad placements to ensure optimal reach and performance. Analyse the performance of ads based on location data to optimise targeting.
  • Competitor Keyword Research / Keyword Gap: Conduct competitor keyword research and identify keyword gaps.

KEY SKILLS

We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, coupled with a basic understanding of digital marketing principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in the Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) is required, and familiarity with digital marketing tools and ad platforms is a plus. An eagerness to learn and grow in the digital marketing field will set you apart as an ideal candidate.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Experience in Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads & TikTok Ads.

Creative skills or experiences; Canva, and Photoshop for asset creation.

Google Ads Certification.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

We want to get the best out of our team; we have a sensible hybrid working and flexitime policy that allows you to be in an office when you want, but work remotely when it's more productive. You can expect to be in the office at least 2 days a month and when required for client face-to-face meetings.

We’re a supportive growing team, and we’re big on training and self-improvement. We have an annual salary increase scheme (up to 7% each year).

We enjoy quarterly social events, but we don’t enforce socialising. We respect our team’s work-life balance.

For our clients, the big difference is our approach to strategy. We run discovery and strategy creation workshops, we create strategy playbooks that align with our client's goals then we adjust and optimise based on real-world data. Our campaigns perform better because we dig deep into our clients' businesses and their customers, so we understand the buying cycle and our client's customers' pain points.

We work with clients who value the way we work, not being afraid of experimenting with new ideas and tactics to get the best results, and who see us as an extension of their team.
