Business Development Manager - ONSITE 4 TIMES A WEEK


We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving new business acquisition from both existing and prospective pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to create innovative sales strategies, increase demand, and uphold our commitment to exceptional service while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a candidate with a strong track record in the industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to seize new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Growth:

  • - Develop and implement strategic plans to drive measurable sales growth and generate new revenue from pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors.
  • - Expand current business relationships while identifying and capturing new opportunities.
  • - Manage potential new accounts by fostering long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • - Provide tailored, seamless solutions to meet client needs.
  • - Lead and support cross-functional sales initiatives.


Industry Expertise:

  • - Stay up-to-date on pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry trends, regulations, and emerging opportunities.
  • - Share industry insights with senior leadership to guide business strategies.
  • - Develop strategic responses to industry changes and their potential impact on business objectives.


Opportunity Development:

  • - Collaborate with internal teams to create client-specific proposals and presentations.
  • - Assist in developing marketing materials and executing relevant promotional activities.
  • - Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  • - Oversee account setup and ensure smooth service delivery for newly secured business.


Reporting and Analytics:

  • - Utilize CRM tools to effectively manage leads, track opportunities, and document client interactions.
  • - Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress toward business development targets.
  • - Regularly report progress to senior leadership and provide actionable insights based on market trends.
  • - Contribute to the refinement of commercial processes, tools, and programs.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years experience working within Business Development.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a CRO.
  • Bachelor's degree in the life sciences field or relevant experience
  • Proven track record of success in business development within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trials and the drug development process.
  • Contract and negotiation experience.
  • Strong analytical capabilities that can assess and understand profitability of customer relationships, to optimally form partnerships.
  • Experience leveraging CRM systems for business development activities.
