We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Executive - Chief Operating Officer to join our Executive Management Team (EMT) and support the CEO in evolving, articulating, and executing the organisation’s transformation strategies and executing a new target operating model. This pivotal role will shape our future corporate vision, enhance the capabilities of the EMT, drive cultural change, and support succession opportunities for the CEO while serving as a nominated deputy. The role also emphasizes risk management, people leadership, and operational excellence in a highly transformational state.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure alignment with key stakeholders (Shareholders, Clients, Board, Executive) on future strategic direction, backed by data, evidence, and a strong risk management framework.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and EMT to implement the master plan, holding accountability for end-to-end execution, governed through a dedicated PMO Office, with a focus on operational and cultural transformation.
  • Manage executive stakeholder engagement, governance, and alignment, with an emphasis on risk control and operational excellence.
  • Design and gain approval for the organizational Target Operating Model, supporting future strategic and transformation plans across all departments, with a focus on people management and operational leadership.
  • Identify resource needs, capabilities, and funding requirements to develop strategic and transformation plans, balancing people development, risk management, and operational goals.
  • Drive the transformation of operational areas as a priority in alignment with the COO role, ensuring cultural change and strong risk control measures are embedded.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Director of Finance to plan financial milestones, secure client funding for strategic activities, and ensure operational budgets are aligned with risk management and strategic goals.
  • Oversee operational processes, systems, and procedures to achieve operational excellence, continuous improvement, and service enhancements while maintaining a robust risk control environment.
  • Develop and control relevant operational and departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with short- and long-term financial expectations, with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Report operational performance and strategic transformation activities to the CEO and external stakeholders, including the Board, Board Subcommittees, and Shareholder Working Group (SWG), with detailed oversight of risk and control measures.


Experience and Skills Required:

  • Proven track record at a Senior Executive level, utilizing insight and data to develop a compelling strategic direction, with a focus on risk and control, operational management, and cultural change.
  • Experience in building transformational plans that significantly improve performance while safeguarding stakeholder priorities and embedding strong risk management practices.
  • Expertise in creating and implementing diverse operating models, with deep experience in offshoring operations and technology, and managing operational risk.
  • Demonstrated success in executing multi-phased transformational plans while maintaining strong business performance, risk control, and operational stability.
  • Extensive experience in leading large operational teams through transformation, with a focus on people management, cultural change, and operational leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of technology, change management, process improvement, operational management, and risk control frameworks.
  • Strong transformational leadership skills that embody company values, behaviors, and capabilities, with an emphasis on driving cultural change and operational excellence.
  • Ability to navigate between detailed operational focus and strategic influence, with strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills, especially in managing operational risks.
  • Experience in complex business environments and/or regulated sectors, with proven stakeholder relationship development and risk management expertise.
  • High energy, drive, and motivation to achieve objectives efficiently and effectively, with a strong focus on people management and cultural alignment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building, evolving, and motivating high-performing, diverse teams, with a focus on driving cultural change and operational improvements.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and lead cultural transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to meet all risk and control objectives while leading large-scale operational transformations.
