If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you. Ribbons & Reeves are working in partnership with a great Secondary School in Central London who are looking to recruit Academic Mentor’s to tutor students on a 1:1 or group basis through both their GCSE’s and A-Levels. As an Academic Mentor, you will have outstanding subject knowledge and a real passion and love for your subject.

The school have a ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted. The schools Ofsted report states "Students are very keen to learn. Most have excellent attitudes to learning and behave very well. Students from different groups, including disabled pupils and those with Special Educational Needs and those who receive additional funding, make excellent progress because their needs are quickly understood and skilled support is put in place."
  • First-Class or 2:1 degree in core-subject area
  • An impressive set of skills, including passion for your subject
  • £25,000 pro rata, paid weekly on a PAYE basis
  • Monday-Friday, 08:30-16:00
  • Opportunities to remain in post or to progress on to teacher training from September
  • Based in Kensington & Chelsea, Central London with excellent transport links
This role as an Academic Mentor, will see you support students in an inclusive environment ensuring that no student is left behind. Whilst supporting a diverse range of students including both over-achieving or underachieving students as well as those who are less able you will be able to build up your practical knowledge that is required to move on to initial teacher training. You will be required to produce creative and engaging sessions for students and use your first-class subject knowledge to guide and support each student in a customised way.
