Human Resource Officer - Courthouse Hotel

As Human Resource Admin/Officer you will be;

Manage all recruitment activities from advertising positions, screening and arranging interviews in conjunction with the Head of Departments.

Creating exciting job advertisements and posting on company and external job boards.

Ensure that appropriate immigration checks are carried out.

Successful management of all aspects of HR Administration such as contracts, letters and personnel files;

To manage employee procedures with regards to starters, transfers, promotions, holidays and leavers.

Ensure HR database and employee files are accurate and up to date.

This role will be the first point of contact for any HR Enquiries.

Ensure pay reviews/probation reviews/absence or sickness monitoring/wage queries are managed in line with company guidelines.

Payroll administration and support the management of payroll process;

Management of our company induction programme, supporting the hotel with departmental training requirements;

Ensure completion of training for hotel security, fire regulations and other health and safety legislation.

Assist with employee relations issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including investigation, disciplinaries, grievances, and capability.

Personally handle complaints and counselling.

Producing HR reports and assisting with HR projects as required.

Ensure HR Policies, procedures, handbook are up to date and available as appropriate.

Participate in monthly meetings as appropriate.

Maintain strong relationship and goodwill with all employees.

Support employee engagement activities such as employee of the month, team building etc...

Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.

What are we looking for?

At least 4 years satisfactory experience in a HR role.

Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)

An outgoing personality will be key to success of this role

Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and operate in a discreet and professional manner

Excellent relationship building, presentation and communications skills.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Strong computer skills Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude

Strong ethics and reliability

Positive attitude

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to be flexible and able to adapt to changing demands

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to work independently, to demonstrate initiative and to work as part of a team

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Working towards or certified in Human Resources (i.e. CIPD)

Knowledge of hospitality

Good knowledge of employment law and employee relations
