Merchandising Administrator

Purpose

The objective of this role is to support the Merchandising team to ensure that correct stock is in the right place to maximise sales and profit. Providing administrative support to the Buying and Merchandising team including managing reports and analysing sales and stock figures. To assist with managing markdown and promotion uploads and supporting the retail and digital teams with stock and intake queries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Merchandisers in the management of the continuity business, placing orders in line with stock and sales plans
  • Work with key internal and external business stakeholders including concessions
  • Running daily and weekly trade reports for Buying and Merchandising
  • Conducting detailed ad-hoc analysis when required both within the business and for suppliers
  • Providing end of season sell thru analysis, compiling reports for the Buying team to use for new season buys
  • Supporting the Merchandisers with analysis and charts for presentations and pillar projects
  • Supporting the Merchandisers in the execution of Sale and promotions, loading mark down prices, monitoring sell thru and making recommendations to maximize sales
  • Actioning price changes in line with margin plans
  • Monitoring and reviewing product replenishment levels in line with sales and store cover
  • Reviewing best and worst sellers and making recommendations to maximise sales and minimise risk
  • Using ROS analysis to efficiently forecast forward covers and future customer demand
  • Working with the Retail team, Stock Controllers and suppliers to action and meet RTV deadlines
  • Working with the online team to ensure stock optimisation through efficiently trading the website
  • Supporting the Retail team with stock enquiries and expected intake dates
  • Attend floor walks and liaise with Buying, Retail and Visual Merchandising to ensure stock is in the right place
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of new business tools
  • Demonstrate a commercial mind set and outlook to stay responsive to customer and business needs
  • Delivering a centre of excellence for merchandise reporting, processes and system use
