MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE


The ability to erect, dismantle and alter Scaffold as part of a Scaffolding team.


Scaffolders must hold a valid CISRS card.



KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Scaffolder be able to demonstrate and have knowledge of:


Statutory regulations and safety requirements (including SG4) relating to the erection and dismantling of simple scaffolds.

The regulations governing inspection of scaffolds.

Make adequate provision for the safety of themselves, the workforce, the public affected by scaffolding work, and future users of the scaffold structure by working to the relevant British and European Standards, NASC guidance and statutory regulations.

Install anchor ties and other specialist fixings to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Testing and reporting in accordance with TG4.

Inspect Basic scaffolds prior to handover.

You will be required to travel from site to site, and some projects may involve overnight stays away from home

QUALIFICATIONS

Part 1/Part 2 Scaffold training

NVQ Level 2 Scaffolding

CISRS Basic Scaffolder card holder

Health & Safety tested
