Job Summary: European Operations Director - Staycity Aparthotels
At Staycity, we're redefining the aparthotel experience, blending the best of home and hotel to create a welcoming, vibrant, and memorable stay for our guests. As European Operations Director of Staycity, you’ll lead the operations of our entire aparthotel brand across Europe, working closely with our wider leadership team to drive the brand’s success and growth.

Staycity currently operates 28 hotels in Ireland, the UK, France, Germany, and Italy, has 4700 keys, and has over 800 team members…

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the operations of all Staycity Aparthotels across Europe, delivering an elevated and consistent guest experience, while tailoring offerings to local markets and guest trends
  • Create a vision of operational excellence by setting and exceeding performance standards in guest satisfaction, efficiency, and brand consistency.
  • Develop and implement innovative service strategies that surprise and delight guests, transforming their feedback into actionable improvements that drive loyalty and brand reputation.
  • Standardise operational processes across the portfolio to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery, all while preserving the unique character and charm, of each property.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and execute budgets, ensuring revenue growth and profitability align with strategic objectives.
  • Analyse operational and financial data to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and develop data-driven strategies that enhance overall performance.
  • Spearhead initiatives to increase revenue through value-added guest experiences, innovative partnerships, and the implementation of transformative technology.
  • Build and mentor a dynamic team of high-performing Operations Directors, fostering a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a strategic partner to property leaders, providing guidance and resources to help them exceed their targets while aligning with Staycity’s overarching goals.
  • Drive Staycity’s brand evolution by contributing to long-term planning, identifying market opportunities, and aligning operations with growth ambitions.
  • Actively monitor hospitality and travel trends, staying ahead of emerging guest preferences and competitive advancements to ensure Staycity remains the leader in the aparthotel sector.


Ideally, You Will Have Experience In:

  • Leading the operational delivery of a multi-site hospitality portfolio across Europe, with a demonstrated ability to manage complexity at scale while delivering exceptional results.
  • Driving guest-centric strategies that combine personalised service with efficient, scalable operational frameworks to create a market-leading hospitality experience.
  • Managing and optimising large budgets, utilising data analytics and forecasting tools to inform strategic decision-making and achieve ambitious financial objectives.
  • Building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams across multiple locations, with a proven ability to inspire, develop, and retain talent.
  • Designing and implementing strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, enhance guest engagement, and drive long-term profitability.
  • Identifying and leveraging emerging trends in hospitality, travel, and technology to continuously evolve service offerings and stay ahead of competitors.
  • Balancing strategic vision with a hands-on, adaptable leadership style that thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
