Are you looking to make an impact on some of the most challenging issues our society faces? Do you want to work in an environment where you have the opportunity to contribute to solving major societal questions that shape the future of how we work and how we live? Where you have the opportunity to shape the strategy and delivery of services and in doing so have direct impact on our clients and their performance and drive social impact?

Timewise is a multi-award winning social enterprise and the UK’s leading expert and thought leader on workplace security and flexibility. We provide a range of research, consultancy and training services that work for both employers and employees and build more inclusive workplaces.

We support businesses in all sectors to make secure and flexible working a success – organisations we work with are as diverse as the NHS, Google and Lloyds Banking Group. We are a trusted advisor to Government, social funders and think tanks alike who come to us for our straight-talking evidence-based approach about what works when changing business practice on secure and flexible working, and our work features regularly in the media.

Alongside our consulting services we also design, develop and run a range of programmes, looking to stimulate wider systemic change for those facing specific inequalities in the workplace due to their need to work flexibly.

Timewise is actively seeking to improve the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all under-represented communities and groups.

What you can expect

We offer a friendly and flexible working environment and interesting and rewarding client assignments. We are a small, hardworking, passionate team.

We have a base in a shared building in London which provides a range of spaces for us to come together as a team, share ideas and enjoy working together in person.

As you’d expect, we offer a range of flexible working options, and we’ll discuss your preferred working patterns and arrangements at interview. All our roles are hybrid with team members coming into the office once per week as a team (Tuesday) and as needed for key client meetings and events.

Purpose of the role

We are seeking an experienced individual, who will work with our wider team to help design, deliver and manage our exciting programme of action research, stakeholder influencing and thought leadership in 2024 and beyond. You will devise and oversee key programmes and support on stakeholder and relationship management for Timewise grant-funded programmes. You will advocate on behalf of Timewise for better job design, quality

and job security, helping to behavioural change and influence policy and business practice. And you will contribute to the development of future initiatives and projects and secure partners in line with our future funding plans, building on our existing programme of multi-year projects.

You will have expertise in applied research, a track record in leading and designing projects (and ideally business development), excellent stakeholder relationships skills and a good understanding of the policy and delivery context for tackling labour market inequalities and job insecurity. You will have a strong interest in flexible working and/or inclusive workplaces and job design.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on important, influential and innovative projects, research and partnerships across the private and public sector, policy makers and employers. You will work in collaboration with our in-house consultants, our Head of Partnerships and Insight and senior leaders in the business and will report to the Policy and Innovation Director. You will supervise both in-house and associate consultants and researchers on project delivery.

· Account manage a number of our major partners and clients, building and nurturing relationships as well as creating new ones.

Development

· You will contribute to proposal and bid writing, including putting together costings.

· You will help to build our profile through blog writing and representing Timewise at conferences and events.

Line management

· Supervise lead consultants and researchers who deliver the work for major programmes.

· Supervise associate freelance fundraisers as required.
