The UK arm of this global food manufacturer listens to their employees' ideas and suggestions. A great example of this revolves around their company culture and how they engage with employees. As a result, there are new training initiatives, regular feedback forums and enhanced staff engagement.


Joining as site HR Manager, you'll provide a professional HR service to the business in order to meet the sites' employee relations, development, reward and resourcing requirements, in accordance with company policies, procedures and current employment legislation. Supporting management in the development and implementation of the Site HR Strategy in alignment with Group and Business Unit objectives.


Responsibilities


  • Develops HR policy and provides support and guidance in the practical implementation of HR policies and employment legislation, ensuring consistency in HR practices and legal compliance.
  • Provides a professional counsel and advisory service to all management levels on employee relations.
  • Supports the Site Leadership team in selecting, developing and coaching the Talent to manage and deliver business objectives.
  • Contribute to the wider development of the business and achievement of Corporate objectives through active participation as a member of the Management Team.
  • Ensures that the business has the access to the appropriate skills and competencies plus a strong development profile to meet current and future needs.
  • Leads and supports the effective use of Performance Management in the delivery of personal and business results and encourages people to develop to their full potential.
  • Co-ordinates the Talent Review process and ensure that Development/Retention plans are in place.
  • Consults and negotiate with the Trade Union on all substantive aspects of terms and conditions of employment.
  • Supports the delivery of key Organisational Structure Change projects
  • Ensures the HR system is fully utilised and up to date.


Qualifications/Experience


  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Up to date knowledge of UK Employment Law Legislation
  • Proven experience in HR in an FMCG environment (preferably unionised)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to handle and prioritise conflicting issues.
