About the Role:

A large client of ours is looking for a Programme Manager. As the Programme Manager you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of fully costed, approved, planned, and resourced delivery programmes. The programmes will include low complexity “bucket” schemes through to highly complex infrastructure projects at the National Grid interface/Major Customer Connection interface. You will ensure that all programmes have an identified delivery route including design, have associated project plans in place, are fully budgeted and approved. You will also be responsible for maintaining and monitoring delivery progress, risks and opportunities.

Package:

  • Salary - Up to 75k
  • Working conditions - Hybrid (3 days in the office)
  • Benefits - Car allowance, annual bonus (7.5%), market leading pension and other benefits


Selected Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and monitor fully costed, approved, planned, and resourced delivery programmes.
  • Identify and secure appropriate programme delivery routes.
  • Manage the interface between all programme stakeholders including project initiators, planners, designers, project managers, commercial assurance, finance, and supply chain.
  • Maintain management information on programme progress against planned outcomes for outputs, costs, quality and safety including any associated Business Plan commitments.
  • Lead, coach and develop your people to their fullest potential to achieve both personal and organisational objectives and goals.


Selected Skills/Experience:

  • Essential – experience of programme management of major programmes.
  • Experienced at creating project plans using computer software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera etc; (essential).
  • Delivery/operational experience of construction projects.
  • Be an excellent written and verbal communicator to manage both internal and external relationships coupled with good numerical skills; (essential).
