Key responsibilities as Receptionist include:
- Providing friendly and efficient service to guests at check-in, check-out and throughout their stay
- Being knowledgeable to promote the hotel, facilities and the city
- Dealing with guest queries/issues promptly, referring to the Duty Manager, where appropriate
- Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed and the shift checklist is completed consistently
- Carrying out float checks and handling all cash/payment transactions accurately throughout the shift
- Ensuring telephones are answered promptly and politely, according to Company standard
- Previous Hotel Reception experience in a quality hotel
- Excellent communications skills
- A positive, can do attitude
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e.g., OPERA, is advantageous
- Ability to work on a rota basis, 5 shifts out of 7 including weekend work. Typical shifts are 07:00-15:30 or 1430-23:00, as the business requires
