Join a trailblazing start-up in the podcast media ecosystem, collaborating with globally recognized talent. As they embark on an aggressive growth phase, they are seeking their first Head of CRM with a strong focus on email marketing.
About the Role:
You will be tasked with building the CRM function from the ground up, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the company's podcast email campaigns from conception to execution, leveraging insights and analytics to grow the subscriber base and boost engagement. This role involves managing all data and metrics accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development and Execution: Design and implement a comprehensive email marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives exceptional engagement.
- Audience Growth: Collaborate with the marketing team to grow the email subscriber base while maintaining high engagement levels through segmentation and personalization. Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and loyalty.
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize various email campaigns, including newsletters, promotional emails, and targeted outreach to achieve marketing goals.
- Analytics and Reporting: Analyze campaign performance and subscriber behavior to inform future strategies, using data to drive decisions and report on ROI.
- Collaboration and Innovation: Work with content, design, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and explore innovative email marketing techniques and technologies.
- Customer Segmentation and Targeting: Develop and implement customer segmentation strategies to personalize marketing efforts. Identify key customer segments and tailor campaigns to meet their specific needs and preferences.
About You:
- Strong understanding of email marketing platforms, automation tools, and analytics software.
- CRM expertise in driving customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty, ultimately contributing to the company's growth and success.
- 3+ years of experience in email marketing with a proven track record of creating and executing successful campaigns.
- Experience with segmentation, A/B testing, and email personalization techniques.
- Proficiency with Klayvio and relevant plugins.
- Strategic thinker: Ability to align email campaigns with overarching marketing goals and see the bigger picture.
- Creative content creator: Skilled at crafting engaging and persuasive email content (less about the imagery).
- Data-driven decision maker: Strong analytical background to guide strategies and improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Adaptable and agile: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt strategies based on evolving trends.
- Start-up experience: Prior success working for a start-up is highly desirable; experience building out a CRM function from the ground up is a plus.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills: Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly.
