Our client is looking for an experienced 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join their well established company in Chester. They're committed to delivering exceptional IT support and solutions to their diverse client base. Their team is dedicated to providing top-notch service and innovative solutions, ensuring their clients' IT infrastructures is robust, secure, and efficient.


They are seeking a confident and personable 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in handling escalations, leading project work, and ensuring smooth business-as-usual operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role, with a strong background in IT support and infrastructure management.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as the final point of escalation for complex technical issues, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Lead and participate in various IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Perform day-to-day business-as-usual activities, maintaining and supporting client systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with 1st and 2nd line support teams to ensure seamless service delivery and knowledge transfer.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance service delivery.


Requirements:


  • 3+ years experience as a 3rd Line Engineer.
  • Has ideally worked for an MSP or similar environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, VMWare, Hyper-V, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Firewalls, backup solutions,
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, on client visits.
  • Project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects.
  • Ideally relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, ITIL) are highly desirable.
