Due to the success of our Highways Schemes we are happy to announce that we are recruiting for x2 Site Supervisors/ Site Foremen for our expanding portfolio of work in the North East and North West.

As a Site Supervisor Working on the National Highway SDF Framework, Yorcivils and Manchester Frameworks, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of these frameworks and projects, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

One Position will be for the North West covering Warrington/Preston and the other will be for the North East covering Leeds/Darlington. Due to the large region we are looking for people that are willing to travel/lodge away.

Depending on the scheme that you are working on there will be the need to do night shifts.

  • Support the site team, empowering them to align with Octavius vision and safety culture.
  • Encourage continuous learning and growth within the team.

Process Adherence:

  • Ensure compliance with Octavius systems, legislative requirements, and company policies.
  • Implement and maintain efficient processes, including timely reporting to senior management.
  • Emphasize value-added processes, efficient risk management, and continuous improvement.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage team performance to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the site manager to achieve profitable outcomes within agreed targets.

Project Management:

  • Efficiently manage project activities, adhering to NEC contract requirements.
  • Promote community relations and engagement, managing defects clearance, and implementing lessons learned for continuous improvement.

You'll bring... (your wealth of experience & qualifications)

  • A Civil, Structural, or Construction Management background on National Highways networks.
  • Ideally you'll have worked for a for a tier 1 contracting group with working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, & programming.
  • Lead a team of direct reports assisting their all-round development
  • Have worked on a broad section of disciplines such as groundworks, RC structures, steelwork, and building and can demonstrate a clear understanding in these areas.
  • Understanding of interpreting drawings and demonstratable technical knowledge

Qualifications:

    • CSCS card
    • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
