BOXCAR BREAD & WINE, MARYLEBONE IS LOOKING FOR A HEAD CHEF TO LEAD IT'S OPENING - DUE SEPTEMBER 2024

Are you a Head Chef who can lead and inspire teams, innovate menus, and manage the full spectrum of kitchen operations? Do you have the grit and determination to drive new openings and overcome challenges? If you're ready to take the helm of our kitchen and play a pivotal role in shaping our new opening of Boxcar Bread & Wine, then we want you on our team

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute innovative menus that showcase the best of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, catering to a diverse range of tastes and preferences.
  • Lead and mentor kitchen teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, scheduling, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the highest quality and freshness of ingredients.
  • Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and ensure seamless service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef in new opening management is highly desireable, demonstrating your ability to navigate the complexities of launching a new venture.
  • Proven track record of menu development and creativity.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing kitchen budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitability.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach, dedicated to enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.

  • Competitive salary reflective of your experience and expertise.
  • Enjoy operating hours that offer balance, with Mondays and Tuesdays from 8am to 5pm and Wednesdays to Sundays open until 10pm.
  • Access to up to 50% of your earned wages ahead of pay dates via Wagestream.

  • After one year of service we add one additional holiday day up to five years.
