As the Head of Human Resources, you will be the main person creating and embedding a HR strategy and toolkit into a rapidly growing, very established and secure, privately owned retail group, with operations across the UK.


Key responsibilities:


  • Work effectively with the Management Group to help develop and deliver the HR agenda and corporate plans
  • Oversight and delivery of the day-to day operational HR service
  • Oversee, support and guide all operational HR processes
  • Lead on recruitment for the company
  • Work effectively with managers to resolve Employee Relations issues in a legally compliant, compassionate, commercially astute and timely manner
  • Support Line Managers across the organisation in building competence, capabilities and confidence through coaching and direct support
  • Leadership of HR/People-related projects
  • Support Employment engagement initiatives


To be considered for this role you should be CIPD qualified /chartered member and have a background operating in a senior position in a busy HR team. Excellent stakeholder management and a proven track record of delivering outstanding HR and recruitment services is also required as is an up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
