Job Summary:

The QC Technician will be responsible for visual inspection of incoming materials, reagent preparation, sample management, environmental monitoring enumeration, equipment testing as required and documentation preparation. The successful candidate will support other departments in the quality checks for release of materials for use as well as support the wider QC team.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reagent preparation
  • Sample / material management
  • Environmental monitoring enumeration
  • Visual inspection of incoming materials
  • Performing laboratory equipment maintenance, cleaning and testing, as required
  • Completing documentation in accordance with ALCOA/data integrity requirements
  • Supporting in OOS/OOT/Atypical investigations, Non-conformance investigations and change controls
  • Creating documentation including worksheets, forms and logbooks
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvements and efficiencies


You will have the following experience/qualifications:

  • English, Maths and Science at GCSE or above
  • Experience working within a laboratory environment (>1 year)
  • Basic knowledge of biology and microbiology applied to pharmaceutical manufacture
  • IT Skills including word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Being proactive with great problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work confidently and professionally with other departments.
