Senior Food Safety Technologist

We are looking for a Senior Food Safety Technologist to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, legality, and quality across our production kitchens.About the Role As a key member of the Food Safety & Technical team, you will lead compliance efforts, champion best practices, and mentor kitchen teams to maintain exceptional standards. Your expertise will help us deliver safe, high-quality products while driving continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Implement and monitor compliance with food safety legislation across Harrods Production, Pastry Kitchens, and Chocolaterie.Lead and maintain HACCP plans, SOPs, and food safety audits, ensuring alignment with legal and brand standards.Investigate food safety and quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with chefs and technical teams to ensure accurate product specifications and customer information.Deliver food safety training and foster a strong food safety culture throughout the business.This role is fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week. Weekend work may also be required.About YouYou will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for food safety and quality. Your ability to lead, influence, and communicate effectively will enable you to drive compliance and continuous improvement across diverse teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to upholding Harrods' values.You will:Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Food Safety, Technical, or Environmental Health.Have experience in manufacturing or retail supplier management, with strong knowledge of HACCP (minimum Level 3).Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, and time-management skills.Proven experience in food safety compliance and auditing.Strong PC literacy (Word, Excel; SAP desirable).About UsHarrods is one of the world's leading luxury department stores and we're becoming a destination for top designers, and the most sought-after brands from around the globe.
