Our products are more affordable and more sustainable than their dairy equivalents.Position: Food Technologist (12-Month Contract)Location: Southwark London HybridAbout the PositionWere looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join our team in London on a 12-month this critical role youll ensure our products meet the highest technical and regulatory standards across Foodservice. From managing specifications and artwork to supporting compliance and customer queries youll help keep everything running smoothly and compliantly behind the scenes.This is a great opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced purpose-driven FMCG environment working with well-loved brands and a passionate cross-functional team.Key responsibilities include:Specification & Compliance:Manage internal product specifications and ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.Maintain up-to-date specification data to meet launch timelines and critical paths.Ensure product compliance with current legislation regulations and customer requirements.Customer & Consumer Support:Respond to technical queries from customers and consumers via the Careline or account teams.Provide product derogations as needed and support foodservice customer needs.Deliver accurate Q&As product information and artwork review in line with labelling regulations.Project & Process Ownership:Lead and support Foodservice projects delivering key milestones on time.Collaborate with sales R&D and operations to deliver new product introductions effectively.Maintain documentation to ensure internal and external audit readiness and technical compliance.What Does It Take to Be SuccessfulTo thrive in this role youll need a strong technical background a sharp eye for detail and the ability to work cross-functionally to keep everything compliant on time and on track. You should have:Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in a technical advisory or compliance-focused role within FMCG or food production.Familiarity with customer-facing technical account management.Knowledge & Skills:Solid understanding of food regulations labelling laws and safety standards.Strong attention to detail process-oriented mindset and comfort managing multiple priorities.High proficiency with technical documentation and systems used in the food industry.Mindset:Solution-focused with a positive can-do attitude.Strong communicator able to work cross-functionally with Commercial R&D and Supply teams.Collaborative and organised with the ability to manage timelines and deliverables independently.Whats NextIf youre a technically-minded problem solver who thrives on accuracy and enjoys supporting great food brands behind the scenes wed love to hear from you.
