Video Design was founded in 2015 to provide the highest quality technical expertise to live events and concerts using LED, Projection, Camera Systems, Media Server and Playback Engineering.Video Design is a company built on unwavering commitment to clients and a standard of technical excellence reflected not only in the equipment supplied but also in the incredibly talented people who bring that equipment to life.About the role - The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for prioritizing and managing the productivity of team members in our audio-visual equipment warehouse. This position is a fast paced, high intensity on your feet job and includes physical work, standing, lifting, pushing/pulling, loading and unloading equipment. This also requires use of a computer-based inventory program, Rental Works for order fulfillment and inventory management.This position reports to and supports the Operations Manager.Key Accountabilities:Assist Operations Management with assigning orders, transfers, and tasks to warehouse operations and operations lead employeesReview upcoming transfers and make recommendations to consolidate shipments when possibleCommunicate directly with Assets and Operations Management regarding any shortages and offer alternatives when possibleSend an email with photo for each truckload shipment to the receiving office along with BOL informationMonitor employee performance within the warehouse and report back to Operations ManagementOversee and assist with the training and growth of warehouse operations and operations lead employeesEnact and communicate methods of operations procedures and safety measuresReport unsafe conditions to Operations Management if they cannot be self-correctedProactively monitor the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse/encourage others to do the sameOpen and/or close the building as directed on any shift if needed (key and code holder)Updates job knowledge by participating in Renal Works training videos and shadowing Operations ManagementOther tasks as assigned within specific department or from operations managementSkills and Qualifications:Equipment Maintenance, Adhering to Standards, Learning and Following Processes, Inventory Organization, Technical Skills, and Interest in Entertainment ProductionEducation and Experience:Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgroundsManagement or Team Lead experience is requiredGood written and oral communication skillsPlanning, time management, collaboration, and organization skills requiredStrong interpersonal skills to work within a teamWillingness to work a demanding schedule that is dependent upon evolving client needsCompetencies:Technical SavvyStrategic problem-solving capabilitiesExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical Requirements:The ability to lift and move heavy objectsThe ability to sit or stand for long periods of timePhysical movements such as bending, crouching, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sitting, standing, and walkingEqual Opportunities:We are an equal opportunities employer.
