We have seen significant growth in revenues and registrations over the last few years both in the UK and internationally.There is now an opportunity to enable the business for further growth, through the transformation and modernisation of our data platforms and systems.The demand is already there, we now need someone with exceptional ability to drive, shape and scale up our Business Intelligence reporting to build our capacity to meet the demand.What is the role?As a Senior Specialist in Data Analytics, you'll play a pivotal role in our mission-driven journey.Reporting to the Head of Information Management, your responsibilities will include:Provide quality assurance of imported data.Commission and decommission data sets.Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources.Support initiatives for data integrity.Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.Train end-users on new reports and dashboards.Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualization (including the use of business intelligence tools).Identify, collect, and migrate data to and from a range of systems.Manage, clean, abstract, and aggregate data alongside a range of analytical studies on that data.Manipulate and link different data sets.Summarize and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for users.Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Experience in data quality assurance and validation.Proficiency in data visualization.Application of statistical methods and analysis of a range of data sets.Effective skills in accuracy and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication.Presentation skills to a range of audiences.Critical thinking and problem-solving.Ability to establish priorities.Modern Skillset Required:Essential - Proficiency in SQL: Essential for extracting, manipulating, and analysing data from databasesEssential - Familiarity with programming languages: Such as Python, DAX or R, for data analysis and automationEssential - Expertise in business intelligence tools: Including Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization softwareStatistical and quantitative analysis: Strong understanding of statistical concepts to interpret data accuratelyDesirable - Data modelling and database management: Ability to create and manage data models and warehousesDesirable - Agile methodologies: Experience with Agile project management tools like JIRAContinuous learning and adaptability: Staying updated with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in the BI fieldExpected Qualifications/Equivalent Experience:Competence in:Microsoft Office software toolsEssential - Power BIEssential - SQL ServerEssential – Oracle SQL ServerDesirable - PythonDesirable – Azure DataBricksDatabase systemsWhat next?If NEBOSH has caught your attention – which we hope it has – and the role profile sounds like it is something you could succeed in; we would love to hear from you.Please send us your CV with a covering letter detailing why you should be considered for this role.We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.Other benefits:Company Pension (10% employer)Enhanced holidays (FTE 25 days raising to 33 days with service)Health Care Cash PlanPrivate Medical3 x salary Death in ServiceDiscounted Gym membershipCycle schemeHoliday Buying schemeExtensive discounts and exclusive offersFree parking
